Our Investment Philosophy
The investment philosophy of Central Bank’s Investment Management & Trust Services Division is based upon the fulfillment of client goals and objectives while working within the guidelines stated in the Prudent Investor Rule and duties of a ‘fiduciary’. We seek to maximize total expected returns in a manner that is consistent with disciplined, conservative, efficient portfolio management. We are disciplined, long-term investors and believe that investment returns should be viewed within the context of market cycle, a period of time lasting between three and five years.
To our investment professionals, investing is a full time job. They have no motivation to ‘sell’ any investment to our clients. We are not motivated by the number of transactions we execute. Central Bank makes no fee when we buy or sell within accounts in the Investment Management & Trust Services Division.
We believe a ‘total’ portfolio approach to asset management enhances expected returns. Individual holdings will be evaluated in the context of how they interact with each other, not in isolation. When building a client’s portfolio, the focus is on diversifying among three classes of investments: cash equivalents, fixed income (bonds) and equities (stock). By properly blending these three types of assets, we can meet client goals and objectives without taking undue risk.
We are committed to being responsive to our clients, providing superior levels of service, and forming long-term, beneficial relationships.
