1. Waking Up When your Alarm Goes Off

Whether you are a morning person or not, hitting the snooze button is never a good idea as it can affect your physical and emotional well-being. Instead, try getting out of bed as soon as your alarm goes off every morning.

2. Avoid Checking your Phone

When checking your phone in the morning, you may see new social media notifications, messages, and emails. While you may need to read emails or messages as it relates to your work or family, some notifications or mindlessly scrolling on social media can trigger self-criticism and judgments in your mind. Instead, try adding reading, journaling, meditating, or working out into your morning routine. These activities will positively jump-start your mind, and come with added health benefits.

3. Drinking Water

Want to avoid headaches, fatigue, and dark eye circles? Drinking a glass of water shortly after you wake up will help your body function better. In addition, having a morning glass of water can increase your energy, boost metabolism, and fight toxins. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!

4. Eating Breakfast

Eating a healthy breakfast before you start your day will fuel your body. Try avoiding foods with lots of sugar such as donuts, pancakes, muffins, and pastries. Instead, satisfy your brain and your stomach with healthy foods such as nuts, fruits, oats, and eggs. Consider making a grocery list to plan out your healthy breakfasts, and keep your eyes peeled for any coupons to save money while eating healthy.

5. A Cup of Coffee

It is okay to have a cup of coffee in the morning after you drink your water. Coffee is a good source of antioxidants. It can boost your energy and stabilize your mood. Although, make sure you stick to one or two cups of coffee, as too much can lead to withdrawals and headaches.

6. Getting Up Early

Waking up early every morning will lead to a happier and more successful lifestyle. Those who start their day early tend to be proactive throughout the day to balance their personal life and career efficiently. Waking up early can lower your stress levels, give you more time to get ready in the morning, and improve your cognitive function.

7. Being Prepared for the Day
