John has enjoyed a long and diverse career in the accounting, manufacturing and legal industries.  His experience spans delivery of financial services with a Big Four public accounting firm, CFO of a $250 million publicly traded company, President/CFO of an $87 million publicly traded manufacturer, and COO of one of the leading law firms in the Midwest.  With a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Managerial Economics and an MBA in Accounting, John served with KPMG Peat Marwick for 18 years, leaving the organization as an Audit Partner in 1994.  He spent the next six years in manufacturing as Chief Financial Officer with Sealright and President/CFO for JPS Packaging before joining Husch Blackwell LLC in 2001 as Chief Operating Officer.  John retired from Husch Blackwell in 2017 but remains active as a Senior Advisor to the firm.

John has served on the boards of many organizations including but not limited to the Mid-Continent Council of Girl Scouts, Heart of America Boy Scout Council, American Royal Association, Mission Hills Country Club and Blue River Land Trust.  He joined the board of director of Metcalf Bank in 1994 and has served continuously for 25 years through its merger with Central Bancompany in 2007.  John resides in Canon City, Colorado with his wife, Janie.
