I felt like Judy didn't want to take the time to talk through scenarios with us. I know that some of them were hypothetical, but there was only so many possibilities. Every conversation seemed impatient and rushed - she seemed to be out of town a lot during the process. We specifically asked if not having flooring was going to be an issue, and Judy said it probably wouldn't be - of course it was the biggest issue we faced. I also was upset that I didn't know the rate terms of the in-house 5/1 ARM until a week and a half before closing. The moment this product was mentioned, we should have been told the exact terms and what the rates were at certain down payments. I also sort of feel like "buying points" on an in-house loan was made up. I realize our situation was more involved than most, but I felt like Judy couldn't answer a lot of our questions and was generally unprepared. On more than one occasion, she mentioned that "the bank will own this house" - I understand what she meant and I understand how debt and mortgages work, but it felt like a condescending comment when we're trying to be excited about buying a house. This all being said, I appreciate that we were able to close on time and the work and thought that was put into making this happen. The closing gift was thoughtful - the chocolate was delicious - thank you.
