About Me
Mary Schrag is the Owner and CEO of Physical Therapy Specialists Clinic (PTSC), which serves patients across West Plains and Mountain Grove, Missouri. A graduate of the University of Missouri–Columbia and Drury University, she returned to her hometown more than 30 years ago to open PTSC in response to the community’s need for accessible, high-quality rehabilitation services. Under her leadership, the clinic now serves over 2,100 patients annually through more than 25,000 visits and is one of only 75 clinics worldwide certified by the McKenzie International Institute. PTSC has consistently been recognized by the West Plains community as a “Best of the Best” provider in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine.
In addition to running a successful clinic, Mary has held numerous leadership roles in healthcare and education. She currently serves as President of the Missouri State Board of Education, where she chairs the Legislative Priorities Subcommittee and leads statewide initiatives focused on teacher recruitment and retention. She is a past member of the Missouri State University Board of Governors and one of only two U.S. representatives on the International Mechanical Diagnosis & Therapy Research Foundation, where she has helped raise more than $600,000 to support global research in diagnostic therapy.
Mary has been recognized with several honors, including the Bronze Lady International Excellence Award and Biz 417’s “Woman Who Means Business” award. Her commitment to rural healthcare, education, and community development brings a well-rounded and deeply informed perspective to the Advisory Board of Central Bank of the Ozarks.
