Central Bank of Oklahoma Names Matt Adams President and Chief Executive Officer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Jefferson City, Mo. (August 27, 2026) — Central Bank of Oklahoma has named Matt Adams president and chief executive officer.

A longtime Oklahoma banker with nearly 19 years of experience at Central Bank, Adams brings a deep understanding of the bank, its customers and the communities it serves to his new role. He has served as president of Central Bank’s Edmond and Oklahoma City market since June 2012.

Born and raised in Owasso, Oklahoma, Adams moved to Oklahoma City in 1998 and has built his career and community connections in the state.

“My first job in banking was in the mailroom. Thirty years later, I’ve never lost the belief I picked up there: There are no small jobs, and titles don’t tell you much about a person,” said Adams. “What I’ve learned in three decades is that this business runs on relationships, earning them, and then keeping them. I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to working alongside our team to build on the bank’s legacy that got us here.”

John Ross, President and Chief Executive Officer said Adams’ experience and commitment to Oklahoma make him well positioned to lead the bank.

“Matt has spent nearly two decades building relationships with our customers and communities in Oklahoma, and he understands what makes Central Bank different,” said Ross. “His experience, leadership and commitment to our customers make him well positioned to lead Central Bank of Oklahoma into its next chapter.”

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Adams will focus on continuing the bank’s commitment to experienced bankers, local decision-making and personalized service while providing the products and services customers expect from a larger financial institution.

“My top priority is to continue to provide what our customers want and expect, experienced bankers, decisions made locally, and everything they’d get from a large bank without the big bank feel,” said Adams. “Deliver that, and we won’t just be the first call, we’ll still be the call five years from now.”
