Felice Mitchell

As the Community Development Lending Officer at Central Bank, Felice Mitchell embodies community, leadership, commitment, and passion. She provides access to attainable homeownership through fair lending for socially, culturally, and economically diverse populations.

For half of her career, she worked in the community development and real estate sectors, specializing in creating community development strategic initiatives, mortgage financing, affordable housing program development, asset management, redevelopment, and real estate brokerage.

Felice created a Community Development Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) for a joint venture between the two largest credit unions in Florida. As Executive Director, she worked closely with CDCs, the NCUA, NCUF, Fannie Mae, and mortgage CUSOs nationwide.

Developing and leading the Center for Affordable Homeownership for the Tampa Housing Authority was a career hallmark. The innovative Center garnered a statewide reputation for educating first-time homebuyers and collaboration with municipalities, CDCs, HFAs, HUD, Fannie Mae, and national banks.

Felice worked in the management consulting and technology industries for the other half of her career while based in North Carolina, Florida, and her native Washington, D.C., with frequent travel across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.

Immediately prior to joining Central Bank, she served as Managing Principal at Change117, LLC, a holistic consulting firm where she assisted community development organizations, nonprofits, government entities, companies, small businesses, and individuals with strategy, business process redesign, program development, and change management.

She graduated with an MBA from the University of Maryland and a MSW with a focus in Community Development from Howard University. Felice is a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE), a PROSCI Certified Change Manager, and PMP certified through the Global Project Management Institute (PMI).

Felice’s career success aligns with her interests and passions outside of work. When she’s not at a board meeting, strategic planning huddle, or volunteering with a non-profit, she spends time enjoying the arts, attending concerts, and going on travel adventures with her family.
