    when i orignally spoke with Darla concerning this loan, she qouted me a promotional rate. i started this process based on that info. when we finally go the closing table we were advised that we were 1% over the DTI thresehold for the promotional rate. but nobody ever reached out to me about this. there were multiple items contributing to the new DTI that were being replaced with the new loan, so these items were ultimately counted twice. i asked if central could pay some of these directly as part of the closeing, something that has been optional or required in all previous loans i have done of this nature. but i was told that i would need to pay them off first myself and then provide proof of payoff to central and they would need to validate before closing. this would delay our closing by potentiall weeks. this was extremely frustrating to be hearing all this at closing. i was heading out of town on a business trip and had already delayed my departure by half a day to get this closing done before i left town. and delaying everything further was going to cause even bigger headaches. so we ultimately just closed the loan under the new higher rate without the promotion. this will cause substanial additonal costs for us int he first year compared to the promotion we were seeking that is ultimately unjustified. Meegan did her best to help us out during closing which was very much appreciated. but she seemed to be in the dark on alot of this herself.
