Chip Cards Are Easy to Use
Your Central Bank Mastercard has chip and magnetic stripe technology. That means, regardless of what type of terminal a merchant has, you’ll be able to use your card anywhere Mastercard is accepted.
At retailers with chip-enabled terminals.
Insert your card and follow the prompts on the terminal.
At retailers without chip terminals.
Swipe your card and proceed as you normally would.
Over the phone or online.
Provide your card information the way you always have when you’re ready to make a purchase.
In the event a debit card transaction is questionable or suspicious, you may receive an alert to confirm your debit card activity is legitimate. This alert may come in one of three ways:
We will NEVER ask you for your PIN number or your card number in any communication we send nor will we redirect you to another site via a link in our communications.
With the cases of online fraud increasing every day, it’s become even more important to safeguard your online transactions. That is why we equip your Central Bank Mastercard with Mastercard SecureCodeTM, a gatekeeper for your financial information online. SecureCodeTM may require you authenticate the online transaction by prompting you for a one-time password, which will be sent via text or email, in order to complete the transaction.
You will receive your one-time password at a verified mobile phone number or email address. To update or change where you receive your one-time password, log in to Online Banking and edit your contact information by visiting Account Preferences.
You will have several opportunities to enter your one-time password correctly, but after a few incorrect attempts your transaction will decline. Upon the notification of a decline, Customer Service will follow with you to either confirm the transaction or assist in the case of a fraudulent purchase.

Your Central Bank Mastercard is available with CS Identity’s (CSID) proprietary Internet surveillance technology that proactively detects stolen personal information and compromised data online. CSID is an industry leader in identity protection and fraud detection. At any point in time, Mastercard Identity Theft Alerts track thousands of websites and millions of data points, to alert you if your personal information is detected in a compromised position online.
Identifying Theft Resolution Services
Identity Theft Resolution Services help you with credit bureau notification and card replacement should you become the victim of identity theft, not just for your Central Bank Mastercard but for all the cards in your wallet.
